Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does a massage session last?

A: typically a session will last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour depending on the horse and their tolerance.

Q: Do I need to be there for the session?

A: No. I actually prefer the owner isn't around as it allows me and the horse to focus on the massage. This being said you will need to be there before the massage in order to catch your horse and hand in the History form and Release form.

A: Massage is the manipulation of soft tissues in the body to get a response. In the case of equine there is an increase in lymphatic and blood circulation, soothe and calm, stimulate the nervous system, increase range of motion, increase suppleness and mobility, and relax or stimulate the muscles.

Q: Is massage beneficial for my horse?

A: Yes, even healthy horses can benefit from massage. Massage can be included in your horses routine in order to increase range of motion and his/her performance.
